Halftime in the container: On Monday the first celebrity had to leave the TV show. It hit Verena Kerth. But she didn't stay alone for long.
This year's candidates have been sitting in the “Celebrity Big Brother” container for a week. The current season started last Monday on Sat.1, and the grand finale will take place on October 21st. At half time the first star had to pack his bags and thus missed the chance of victory and 100,000 euros.
The residents had to nominate first. At the beginning of the eighth live show, the exit list included “Berlin – Day & Night” star Matze Höhn, actor Jochen Horst, ex-football professional Max Kruse, wildcard winner Sarah Wagner and reality star Leyla Lahour. The latter three were released right at the beginning of the show because they had received enough calls from viewers.
Matze Höhn was also able to breathe a sigh of relief a little later. The decision about the first move out ultimately fell between Jochen Horst and Verena Kerth – who had to go. The 43-year-old said goodbye to the other celebrities and even left the container with a smile. She was welcomed outside by moderator Jochen Schropp.
“I'm fine,” she assured him directly and emphasized: “To be honest, I would have been surprised and I would have done something wrong if I hadn't been the first.” During her time in the TV container, the 43-year-old not only opened up about singer Marc Terenzi and their separation, but also opened up about an alleged affair with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. What she and the others in the container didn't know until Verena Kerth's exit: She wasn't the only star who had to move out on Monday. Shortly after their departure, “Big Brother” announced that all remaining residents had been nominated. The viewers had to decide again for whom the TV show would be over after a week. In the end it hit the former celebrity reporter Bea Peters.
