Samsung introduces three new smartphones in its popular A-Class. The Galaxy A26, A36 and A56 offer strong mid-range technology and long updates at attractive prices. Even some AI functions of the Samsung upper class do not have to do without buyers.
Samsung presented his Galaxy-S25 cars at a special event, while the South Koreans chose the Mobile World Congress (MWC) as a stage for its new A-Class smartphones. This has a matter of importance, because according to Samsung, they are the most bought devices of their price ranges. The new trio also has what it takes to become a seller, because its price-performance ratio is again very attractive on paper again this time.
All three have a 6.7-inch display
The Galaxy A56 has a 6.7-inch display with Full HD Plus resolution and is powered by Samsung's strong mid-range chip Exynos 1580, which has 8 gigabytes (GB) of RAM. Its flash memory is either 128 or 256 GB. The battery of the A56 protected according to IP67 from dust and water holds very decent 5000 milliampers' hours (mAh).
A triple camera sits on the back. The main snap with aperture f/1.8 has a maximum resolution of 50 megapixels (MP) and is optically stabilized (OIS). There is also an ultra-wake angle camera (12 MP/f/2.2) and a macro camera (5 MP/f/2.4). The front camera offers 12 MP and the aperture f/2.2.
The Galaxy A36 differs from the A56 by the somewhat weaker chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, which can either access 6 or 8 GB of RAM. In addition, its ultra-wake angle camera only has 8 MP and its frame is made of plastic instead of aluminum.
Only the A56 has an aluminum frame
The cheapest model Galaxy A26 also has a plastic frame and the front camera is housed in a larger, drop-shaped recess on the display. In addition, the sensor of its macro camera has only 2 MP resolution.
All three new Galaxy A smartphones offer some AI functions. The object base for removing disturbing objects from photos is available on every new Galaxy A model. According to Samsung, the Galaxy A56 not only takes better recordings than the two stable companions at night. It also has an exclusive “best face” on board, with the AI in group photos selecting the most appealing facial expressions from a photo series and combining them into an image.
The Galaxy A56 is available from almost 480 euros, the A36 for around 380 euros, the A26 from 300 euros.
