Now the royal court has come forward with good news: the couple have become parents for the first time. According to the Instagram post, their child was born on Saturday, August 3rd. Royal fans can also look forward to a first video. The footage shows the new father together with his offspring. He holds the baby in his arms and can't take his eyes off his child.
In an official statement, the palace reveals further details: “The Royal Hashemite Court is delighted to announce that Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein were blessed with a baby girl, whom they named Iman, on 3 August 2024,” the statement also reveals the gender and baby name.
The couple is “overjoyed and grateful for the birth of their firstborn.” Instead of flowers and gifts, the royal family asks in the message for donations to the Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans. The non-profit organization, which supports orphans from the age of 18, was founded by Queen Rania in 2003.
