A survey shows what bothers neighbors most about each other. What is surprising is how many actually maintain a positive relationship with their neighbors.

Incorrectly disposed of rubbish, noisy children or incorrectly parked cars – what annoys neighbors the most, shows a current survey by YouGov on behalf of kleinanzeigen.de.

A total of 2,020 women and men were asked whether they were annoyed by their neighbors and, if so, why. The surprising answer: 61 percent, or almost two thirds of those surveyed, rate the relationship with their neighbors as positive – almost a quarter (23 percent) even say that it is very positive. Only 8 percent say that their relationship with their neighbors is rather negative.

Regardless of whether the relationship is positive or negative, there are things that bother your neighbors. Rudeness comes in at number 1. Second place is shared by curiosity and incorrectly disposed of waste. Behind them also share space: loud music, noise pollution from children, trampling and moving furniture, etc. as well as incorrectly parked cars.

However, for many people, grilling on the balcony or discussing property boundaries are less serious.

However, it should also be noted that most people do not feel disturbed at all by their neighbors.

If people are very upset with their neighbors, many people resort to a clarifying conversation. This measure is also recommended by most experts. This means that many misunderstandings can be clarified and unnecessary, additional hassle can be avoided.

Involving the property management company or landlord is also an option for some. The third option is calling the police. But there are also some who write a letter to their neighbor with whom they are annoyed. However, legal action is very rarely taken or a mediator is called in.
