Heinz Hoenig has been in the hospital for weeks, fighting for his life. Now the actor is also facing private problems and the TV star has made a decision.
At the end of April, Heinz Hoenig was admitted to a hospital in Berlin. The “Das Boot” star had to undergo emergency surgery. A bacterial infection had spread to his entire aorta and damaged a stent that had been placed in the actor in 2012.
Heinz Hoenig has two other children from his first marriage: daughter Paula and son Luca. But the actor no longer wants to have contact with either of them, as Annika Kärsten-Hoenig has now revealed to the magazine “Bunte”. “He put this in writing in a decree in front of witnesses,” said the 39-year-old. He made the decision entirely on his own.
The reason for this radical step: Paula and Luca were not there for their father during this difficult time. His daughter had informed Annika Kärsten-Hoenig about her father's health at the end of April. “Since she lives in Mallorca, I told her that – if it were my father – I would get on the next plane.” She only arrived in Berlin on May 7. “She stayed for two days and then flew back home.”
Son Luca has not even visited his father. The 34-year-old is said to have contacted Heinz Hoenig for the first time only a few days ago. “I then told him that Heinz was more than disappointed in him and that he had now made the decision not to have any contact for the time being,” Annika Kärsten-Hoenig told the “Bild” newspaper. “He asked that his decision be respected.”
Paula and Luca are from the marriage with Simone Hoenig. The two got married at the end of the 1980s. They were married for more than 20 years. In 2013, Simone Hoenig died of heart failure. She was 52 years old.
