Two years ago, Daniel Aminati lost his sister Deborah. The presenter now shares emotional words about her death on Instagram.
Daniel Aminati has recently had to deal with a number of setbacks in his private life. His wife Patrice Aminati has been battling cancer for over a year. The TV star is always by his partner's side. The couple also regularly share their emotions with their followers on Instagram.
Now Daniel Aminati is once again scoring points with his fans with a moving social media post. But this time it's not about his wife, but about his sister. Deborah died on August 3, 2022 from the effects of her alcoholism. She was 46 years old. A loss that still concerns the presenter two years later – and prompts an appeal to his followers.
On the second anniversary of her death, Daniel Aminati remembers how much addiction dominated Deborah's life. “She absolutely refused to accept help, did not want to face her fears clearly. Instead, she repeatedly fled into intoxication, submerged herself in spheres where she wanted to forget, at least for a moment,” says the 50-year-old. He accompanies his post with a photo series with several pictures of his sister. In the opening image, Aminati gently puts his hand on her shoulder and smiles at her from the side.
“It is unspeakably sad that this wonderful person, this tender soul, had so little self-esteem,” the actor continues. Even two years after her death, he still thinks of his sister often: “Oh Debi, we miss you, you little crazy noodle,” he writes.
He wants to use his experiences to wake up other addicts: “We all need help from someone at some point in our lives. (…) If you break your arm, you go to the doctor,” explains Daniel Aminati. “Please do the same if your soul is at stake,” he urges.
His lines made an impression on the social media community. In addition to numerous heart emojis, the Instagram post also included comments such as “Very movingly written”, “It breaks your heart” and “Wonderful words for your sister”.
