Stiftung Warentest tested 18 current dishwashers. 13 of them were good, including all of the XXL devices tested. The test winners cost at least 800 euros, and the cheapest good dishwasher is available for just 650 euros.
Large plates or other tall dishes are often a problem for normal dishwashers because they block the washing arm. The best XXL dishwashers also performed well in the economy program and received satisfactory marks in the short and automatic programs. They managed all other disciplines very well or well. The cheapest machine with more storage space is the fully integrated Bosch SBV6ZCx16Ewhich costs an average of 850 euros online. Good machines under 700 euros
The cheapest good dishwasher is the Bosch SMV4EAX23Ewhich is available on average for 670 euros. With an overall score of 2.3, it is almost as good as the test winners.
Stiftung Warentest recommends the partially integrated ConstructaCG6IS01EBDwhich costs around 700 euros and achieved a quality rating of 2.4. Among the good dishwashers, it offers the best package of purchase price and running costs, write the testers.
