Numerous celebrities have to flee the devastating fires. Carsten Maschmeyer and Veronica Ferres also experience the tragedy in Los Angeles first hand.
A few days ago they shined in glamorous gowns on the red carpet of the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills. Now Carsten Maschmeyer and Veronica Ferres and their daughter Lilly Krug have to fear for their safety.
The entrepreneur and the actresses are still in Los Angeles, where there is currently a fire disaster. Several fires have destroyed large parts of the coast and are difficult to control due to heavy winds.
Tens of thousands of residents had to leave their homes and flee. Including numerous celebrities, such as Ralf Moeller and Thea Gottschalk. Read more about this here. Carsten Maschmeyer and Veronica Ferres have not yet been affected by the evacuation, as t-online learned exclusively.
However, photos that the 65-year-old shared on Instagram on Wednesday show how close the flames are to them. “The view of downtown today in the morning sun shows the extent of the tragedy,” writes the “Lion’s Den” star about the photos of dense clouds of smoke over the city.
“A depressing time for the people of Los Angeles – one of the largest fires in recent centuries leaves behind destruction and pain,” continued Maschmeyer. “My thoughts are with everyone who has lost their home or has had to flee. I very much hope that they can soon return to safety and receive the help they so desperately need.”
Finally, he thanks “the courageous first responders, firefighters, rescue teams and relief workers who fight tirelessly for the lives and safety of the people of this city.”
Lilly Krug, who lives and works as an actress in Los Angeles, also spoke up in her Instagram story. “I am deeply shocked. I send my love and prayers to everyone who lost their house or had to be evacuated,” said the 23-year-old.
