Gina-Lisa Lohfink recently had to appear in court for various traffic violations. Now a verdict has been handed down in another case.
Reality TV star Gina-Lisa Lohfink has come into conflict with the law several times in the past. Just a few weeks ago, the former “Germany's Next Top Model” candidate had to go to court because she was alleged to have driven drunk in 2022 – but the 37-year-old called in sick shortly before the hearing. The proceedings are scheduled to take place on June 21.
But now Gina-Lisa Lohfink had to answer to the courts for another matter. Her ex-partner Christopher E. is demanding money back from her. But the TV celebrity claims that the amount of 22,000 euros was a gift – but the Frankfurt district court has now come to a different conclusion.
On Thursday, May 23, the decision was made that Gina-Lisa Lohfink must pay back the 22,000 euros to her ex-partner – not including interest. The Frankfurt native was not present herself, but announced through her lawyer Burkhard Benecken that she wanted to appeal. “I just spoke to my client on the phone. She was very surprised. She was there when the witnesses testified and they testified on her behalf. That's why we can't understand what happened here today,” her defense attorney told RTL.
The case will now be handed over to the Higher Regional Court. If it is also decided that Gina-Lisa Lohfink must reimburse the money, the TV star will face a problem. “I don't think that Ms. Lohfink could pay this amount in one go. If it were to stay that way, we would have to agree on payment in installments,” explains her lawyer Burkhard Benecken. She used the 22,000 euros from her ex-partner to pay the outstanding bill for her Mercedes-AMG C63.
Gina-Lisa Lohfink continues to maintain that Christopher E. gave her the money: “I don't have a contract with him. When he was with me, he loved me and I loved him. I didn't put a gun to his head and say: 'Give me the money.' He was happy to do it because he could,” she explained to RTL.
