Dressage rider flies from national team after violent lashes
The Danish dressage rider Carina Cassoe Krüth is said to have flogged a horse. After a video appears that shows the allegations, it is sentenced to a fine. Now the association also excludes them from the national team – for the time being indefinitely.
The Danish dressage rider Carina Cassoe Krüth has been excluded from the national team due to whip. The background is a video on which you can see that she whips a horse violently. The association announced this. The behavior of the rider in the training video from 2022 is incompatible with the standards and values described in the sports plan for the rider of the association squad and the national team. It was initially not known how long the exclusion has been.
Cassoe Krüth was supposed to travel to the Olympic Games as a reserve rider with the dressage team, but withdrew her participation shortly before the team composition announced. According to the Ritzau news agency, this happened after the video was played up to the Danish riding association. The rider had won the Danish team EM bronze and 2022 World Cup gold a year ago.
Only only fines
Initially, the association against Cassoe Krüth imposed a fine of the equivalent of 670 euros. The preliminary exclusion of the dressage rider after the video had been released on the Internet and triggered violent criticism in the Danish public. It is the next terrifying case in the dressage sports scene. Before the games, the three -time Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin made headlines. On a four -year -old video that suddenly appeared, it was seen how Dujardin acted against the well -being of a horse.
The World Association Fei then said that Dujardin was temporarily suspended. The 39-year-old had asked for it for it to conclude investigations for a video. “What happened was not my way at all and does not reflect how I train my horses or teach my students, but there is no excuse,” said the rider's statement later. “I was deeply ashamed and should have given up a better example at that moment. I sincerely apologize for my behavior.”
