Those who like to drink sparkling water will be enthusiastic about Bottleplus. Because it is a drinking bottle with which you can bubble up to six liters of water on the way. In the practical test, the Swiss invention convinces across the board, only the price clouds the fun.
In many households there is a water bubble to move tap water with carbon dioxide. This is not only cheaper than buying bottles, it is also much more sustainable – especially when it comes to one -way powder. You also save yourself the towing. With Bottleplus, this now works on the go, up to six liters of water can be made to tingle with the Swiss invention anytime, anywhere.
It is a little surprising that there was no such practical thing before. Sure, siphon bottles were invented in 1826 by the Hungarian Benedictine priest Ányos Jedlik. But they are anything but compact and light. In addition, siphon bottles can not be refilled again.
Fits in ordinary bottle holders
The bottleplus bottle made of aluminum to the aluminum lid, on the other hand, is hardly larger than a normal drinking bottle that holds 600 milliliters. Among other things, with a diameter of 73 and a height of 240 millimeters, it also fits in most bike bottle holders. The difference is the 60 millimeter high gas tank (carboniser) on the ground, which alone weighs 240 grams empty. It can be unscrewed, which means that hygienic cleaning, in contrast to many other drinking bottles, is child's play. However, no part of the Bottleplus system is allowed in the dishwasher. The bottle is also not allowed on air travel, because here CO2 cartridges are prohibited in both hand and task luggage.
Easy operation, great instructions
The operation of the bottle is uncomplicated. The scope of delivery includes detailed printed instructions, and you can also find explanatory videos on the company website. First, a commercially available CO2 cartridge is screwed into the bracket of the slim filling station, which is made of plastic, but how the bottle is of high quality, stable and stable.
The cartridge disappears under a cylinder, which would not be absolutely necessary, but of course looks better. Overall, the simple design in four subtle colors is very successful, and the Bottleplus system is an ornament not only for modern kitchens.

If the cartridge is installed, the carboniser can be filled with gas. To do this, press the bottle vigorously on the valve for about ten seconds, which is located in the bottom of the platform of the filling station. Now you can fill the bottle with water and get rid of it by pressing the button on the gas tank.
As sparkling as you want
After about two seconds, the hissing of the escaping gas becomes quieter and you can let go of the button, since the noise is only generated by CO2, which is escaped via the overpressure valve. If you fill the bottle too far, there may also be water there, but this is harmless.
You have a slightly sparkling water after a process. If it should bubble more, shake the bottle and repeat the steps once or twice. The colder the water is, the more CO2 it can absorb. But you should also drink it quickly, because the bottle is flashing, so it is not isolated.
Depending on how much it should sparkle, you can bubble up to six liters of water with a filling of the carbonis. This may save at least twelve disposable plastic bottles of 0.5 liters. A complete CO2 cartridge even makes up to 120 bottles superfluous.
Economical, but not cheap
Even if you should buy deposit bottles, the mobile bunpler is better for the environment, since among other things there is no energy for transport over many kilometers. And of course self -busted tap water is usually significantly cheaper than bottles from the supermarket.
However, it takes a while before that pays off at Bottleplus. Because a system at the manufacturer currently costs just under 230 euros. This is mainly due to the fact that the components come from Germany and Switzerland and that the mobile fueler is also assembled there. According to the “Aargauer Zeitung”, the two founders consider letting the bottle body produce in China instead of in Germany in order to be able to lower the price.
Conclusion
The Bottleplus system is extremely practical and easy to use. No wonder that the Swiss version of the TV show “The Löhen cave” was able to win four possible investors, with the founders decided on a different financing route.
With the system you could save the environment many thousands of plastic bottles. However, 230 euros are a lot of money, which is why Bottleplus is more of a lifestyle product for well-heeled than a mobile water bubble for the masses.
