The TV star actually has two sons. Thomas Gottschalk's new book is suddenly about a daughter. What does that mean?
But a passage from his work “Unfiltered” also makes you sit up and take notice. According to “Bild” he writes on page 39: “In February 2024 I filled peppers with minced meat on Instagram after I was barely able to gain any points and certainly no followers with my sister's dog and my daughter's cat.” Daughter? All that is known is that the entertainer has two sons. Roman and Tristan come from his marriage to Thea Gottschalk, from whom he separated in 2019.
A little later, the TV star made his new love for Karina Mroß official, whom he married a few weeks ago – and who has a daughter. In contrast to Gottschalk's sons, Melinda was also at the wedding in Ibiza in August. The three of them just attended Oktoberfest together. The 74-year-old posted photos of this, which you can click through using the arrow on the right.
The 29-year-old and her stepfather seem to be so close that he considers her his own child. Hence the name in his book, as Gottschalk explains. “I adopted Melinda as a daughter a few years before I married her mother,” said the moderator to “Bild”. “She's just a great girl,” he enthuses and makes it clear: “If I had a daughter, I would want one like that!”
Melinda Mroß is not in public herself. She is a child and youth therapist, works at the University Hospital in Tübingen and is currently completing her doctorate. Not much more is known about Karina Mroß's daughter. She calls herself Mini on Instagram, but she has set her profile to private.
