Anyone who was affected by drastic price increases from a provider such as ExtraEnergie, Extragrün, HitEnergie or Prioenergie in the summer of 2022 can now enter a complaint register free of charge. The Federal Association of Consumer Organizations (vzbv) points this out.
At that time, ExtraEnergie Gmbh, to which these providers belong, had doubled and tripled the prices for electricity and gas, even despite existing price guarantees. With the class action lawsuit at the Hamm Higher Regional Court, affected customers should receive repayments. Depending on the case, this could be several thousand euros, according to the association.
