Almost exactly two years ago, Pietro Lombardi asked for Laura Maria Rypa's hand in marriage – but the couple has not yet married. Or have the DSDS star and the influencer secretly said yes to each other? That is what their fans now suspect. The trigger for the speculation was an Instagram post by the 28-year-old.
On Saturday, Laura shared a photo of the couple holding hands and smiling lovingly at each other. She is wearing an elegant long dress, he is wearing a suit. A stately building can be seen in the background. The influencer simply captioned the post with a heart emoji. Within a very short time, congratulations began pouring in in the comments. “Registry office?”, “That looks a lot like a 'yes' to me” and “Are you married?” were also read.
Pietro Lombardi didn't take long to respond. The singer, however, immediately took the wind out of the rumours' sails. “Goosebumps. I love you,” he wrote, adding in another comment: “We're getting married soon.” So he and Laura have apparently not yet walked down the aisle.
The two have had a real rollercoaster relationship. After their first love outing in 2020, they experienced an emotional up and down for about two years, separated, argued publicly and reconciled before breaking up again. After a love comeback, the couple finally announced in 2022 that they were expecting a child. In October of the same year, Pietro asked for Laura's hand in marriage.
They now have two children together: their son Leano Romeo was born in December 2022, and his little brother Amelio Elija was born at the end of August. So that their sons can really experience the wedding, the wedding has been postponed until 2025, as Pietro explained on Instagram in March. Then would be “the perfect time” to get married. The former DSDS winner also has a nine-year-old son, Alessio, from his marriage to Sarah Engels.
