New family photo of the Trumps – but where is Melania?

Trump was elected the 47th President of the USA. His family is celebrating. And one of the world's most famous billionaires is right in the middle of it all. However, the First Lady is missing.

“Nobody works harder and cares more about the American people,” enthuses Donald Trump’s granddaughter on Platform X shortly after the election victory. While people in many parts of the world are astonished by the Americans' decision to re-elect the 78-year-old as president, Trump is being celebrated within their own ranks.

Above all, the family pulls together and enjoys the election victory. Apparently this now also includes a world-famous multi-billionaire.

A photo that 17-year-old Kai Madison Trump also published on X shows, in addition to the closest family members, Tesla boss Elon Musk and his son. “The entire troop,” Trump’s granddaughter wrote about the photo, which shows 17 people. They also include Trump's 43-year-old daughter Ivanka Trump and Trump's 46-year-old son Donald John “Don” Trump Jr., who is the father of Kai Madison.

The friendship between Trump and Musk is based on solid financial foundations. The 53-year-old invested $119 million in Trump's election campaign. A sum that has paid off for the entrepreneur. Shortly after the election victory, the value of Tesla shares skyrocketed. Since Trump's new presidency, Musk has become not only one of the richest people, but also one of the most globally powerful people.

Musk benefits from Donald Trump's victory in several ways. The new president not only wants to cut taxes for the rich and corporations, but also promised Musk a position as “Commissioner for Government Efficiency.”

Since 2022, Musk has controlled Platform X, which was then called Twitter. Since then he has held the majority stake. There, Musk is followed by around 203 million people who he encouraged to vote for Trump. He initially explained that the platform had to remain politically neutral in order to be trustworthy. Only a short time later, however, he clearly sided with Trump.

So while Trump's new best friend Musk shines in the photo, another person is conspicuous only by her absence: Melania Trump. The new First Lady was particularly mentioned by him shortly after Trump claimed his election victory. “I thank my beautiful wife, Melania,” Trump said in a speech, praising her best-seller list-topping autobiography. However, when the photo that the Trump granddaughter posted was taken, Melania was obviously not around. She may have already left the event by then.
