Eva-Maria Lemke will be welcoming ZDF viewers again in the future. She is returning to the “Morgenmagazin”.
The “ZDF Morning Magazine” is getting reinforcements – and it's a familiar face: Eva-Maria Lemke is returning as presenter. She had already hosted the “ZDF Morning Magazine” from 2014 to 2015 and then hosted the cross-media ZDF news magazine “heute+” until 2018. She also worked for the rbb for the “Abendschau” until the end of August 2024. Now she is back in the morning hours on ZDF.
Her first week of presenting will start at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 2, 2024. “Finding the right mix of current news and timeless stories in the middle of Berlin in the morning is something that really appeals to me,” ZDF quotes Eva-Maria Lemke as saying. She is “really looking forward to accompanying viewers into the news day in the morning.” “And I think it's great that I'm now returning to the ZDF information program,” says Lemke.
ZDF editor-in-chief Bettina Schausten considers the presenter to be “an outstanding journalist – creative, precise and critical” and is pleased about her return. Andreas Wunn, head of the ZDF editorial department “Tagesmagazine Berlin”, is also enthusiastic about Lemke: “With her expertise and moderation skills, she will lead our viewers into the news day in a friendly and skilful manner,” says a ZDF press release.
The “ZDF Morning Magazine” is currently hosted by Dunja Hayali, Mitri Sirin and Andreas Wunn. Eva-Maria Lemke follows in Harriet von Waldenfels' footsteps, who recently moved from ZDF to NDR in Hamburg.
