The new Anker MagGo wireless charging station fits in the palm of your hand but can simultaneously charge iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods. This is particularly practical when traveling, but also creates order at home.
Die-hard Apple users not only have an iPhone, but also an Apple Watch and Airpods. Anker now has a new charging station for them where all three devices can be charged at the same time. The highlight is that the charging station can be folded up to the size of a palm. ntv.de tried out the new Anker MagGo wireless charging station.
Chic, sophisticated and very compact
It is not the first foldable Qi charging station for three Apple devices, but there has hardly been a more compact one. Anker has achieved this with a clever design: all three pads are round and magnetically adhere to each other with their flat loading surfaces. Two discs of the same size, each 6 centimeters in diameter, complement each other to form a base on which the small pad for the watch docks piggyback. Elastic silicone bands in which the cables run connect the components.
The included power supply that supplies it with power is almost as big as the station. But you don't have to take it with you when traveling.
Power supply with adapters
A different power supply is recommended if you want to charge other devices such as iPads and MacBooks, as the charging station only has a USB-C output. The alternative must then also have enough power, such as the 100 watt Anker Prime 737.

A small peculiarity of the included power adapter makes it particularly interesting for people traveling to the USA or Great Britain. Because it comes with a foldable US connection onto which the supplied EU or UK alternatives can be plugged.
High quality and powerful
The charging station itself, which weighs 115 grams, appears to be of high quality, and the straps don't seem to break easily. The only thing that could perhaps be criticized is that the two large pads sometimes have to be adjusted after they have been folded. The small loading area, on the other hand, immediately sits firmly in place. There is also no transport bag for the station.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to charging performance. Compatible iPhones from series 12 are charged with up to 15 watts; for an Apple Watch and Airpods with Qi function, it is 5 watts each.
The devices stick well to their pads. Smartwatch and phone are protected from scratches by rubberized surfaces. To prevent overheating, Anker uses its ActiveShield technology, where sensors measure the charger's temperature up to 3 million times per day.
It also works differently
MagSafe cases are no problem for the iPhone, as long as they meet Apple's specifications. Anker does not recommend covers that are thicker than 2.5 millimeters or protection without a magnetic ring, as they could reduce the charging performance.
What's great is that you can fold the charging station so that it holds the iPhone vertically. This means you can use standby mode, in which the phone display can show the time and other information. However, the other devices cannot be charged.
Conclusion
The new MagGo wireless charging station is effective, practical and looks good. What more could you want? Maybe spend less money, because at around 100 euros the folding gas station is quite expensive. However, she is currently selling Anker at a discount for just under 85 euros, which is a very fair price.
