Princess Sofia shows off baby bump at special appointment

In September, the princess and her husband Carl Philip announced that they were becoming parents for the fourth time. Now Sofia appeared at a public event.
It won't be long before the Swedes can look forward to a royal addition. Carl Philip, only son of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and his wife Sofia are becoming parents for the fourth time. The couple made the good news public at the beginning of September – the 39-year-old was already five months pregnant.
The baby is due to be born in February, according to the announcement on the palace's official Instagram account. A photo of the expectant parents was shared in which Sofia and Carl Philip beamed into the camera with their heads nestled close together. The princess's stomach was not visible.
Since then, the soon-to-be mother of four has rarely appeared in public. Now Sofia attended a royal appointment – and put her growing midsection in the limelight. On the occasion of International Children's Rights Day, which is celebrated on November 20th, the 39-year-old visited a primary school in Uppsala, Sweden.
For this she had chosen an outfit in brown tones. A light, loose cape surrounded her baby bump, which stood out clearly due to the contrast with the dark sweater. The curve was particularly visible from the side, as shown by photos that the princess shared on Instagram.
She wrote about the post: “Today, before the children's convention day, I visited Gränbyskolan together with the Prinsparet Foundation. We met representatives from various authorities, schools, municipalities and student representatives for a round table discussion on the topic of democracy and online security.” For Sofia from Sweden it was “a beautiful and important day, with a great focus on children's rights in the digital context,” she emphasized.
The 39-year-old and her husband, who is six years her senior, already have three sons. Alexander was born in April 2016, followed a year later by Gabriel. Julian was born in March 2021. Now the three boys are expecting a sibling. It is not known whether Princess Sofia is pregnant with a girl or a boy.
